Dreaming of Africa
It is easy to day dream on Sunday. It is the end of weekend and for most of us Monday blues sinks in. Here I am day dreaming of escaping…Escaping to somewhere warm in the cold Northern hemisphere February, somewhere once I have been. Somewhere perhaps a bit wild. South Africa…
What I miss now is a world so silent, but has the rhythm of nature. A world with a sunny and smiley face and a place with great hospitality combined with unmatched luxury. Londolozi Game Private Game Reserve at South Africa’s Kruger Park.
This delightful game lodge sits at Sabi Sands of Kruger Park and combines ultimate luxury with the excitement of wildlife. Every aspect of the camp is well thought and amazes you the moment you step your foot in. And when I said stepping in, don’t take it so literal this time.

Tree Camp where we stayed was an elegantly designed base where you could enjoy wildlife without the sacrifices from basic luxuries of life. However, what made the place a real luxurious treat was beyond the designer etiquette d furbishing, but the level of service you received. You can easily feel like a princess where your needs are served within a blink of an eye. There is nothing much, nothing extravaganza, nothing that feels new money. Just a subtle elegance.
The villas are so beautifully designed with well thought details that you almost don’t want to leave except to witness wildlife first hand.
And if watching wild life from your bathroom is not enough of course they have already thought about that- you have a deck which has a tub and sun loungers. You were asking about luxury, right?

But you have your treats…I will never forget the joy of early coffee breaks through the morning drive or watching sunset at high tea through the evening drive.
perhaps the biggest treat is seeing these beauties live…

And then we had this amazing tree house tea time…what an experience…
It was an amazing, amazing experience from the beginning to end and this cold winter day, sitting on my coach, pulling my blanket on I definitely want to go back. Beaten by the Africa bug, I am dreami’ of Africa.
